CDBG (Community Development Block Grant)

Funding for CDBG comes from Housing and Urban Development (HUD), via Business Oregon. This program is offered in response to the COVID19 pandemic. It is designed to serve persons who are considered low to moderate income (LMI), as defined by HUD.

LMI Example: the household limit for a 4 person family in Jackson County is $52,100

CDBG Criteria

Eligible Applicants:

  • -Business is physically located within a qualifying jurisdiction (see below)
  • -Employs persons from low to moderate income households (LMI)
  • -Are able to retain employees for at least 6 months
  • -Are current on all local, state, and federal taxes

Grant Amounts:

  • -$10,000 for microenterprises (1-5 employees)
  • -$2,500 per LMI employees (6+ employees)

-Unincorporated Jackson County

Eligible Expenses:

  • -Operations
  • -Payroll
  • -Rent/Lease

Ineligible Expenses:

  • -Fixed improvements
  • -Personal expenses or mortgage
  • -Any item for which CARES Act funding has already been received
