Kim Freeze and the newly launched Innovation Hub are bringing a new resource to our local entrepreneurs – 1 Million Cups. Kim and the Hub hosted an open invitation event on Wednesday, September 11, at The Hivve in Grants Pass.
What is 1 Million Cups? It is a nationwide effort to bring together entrepreneurs across the country every Wednesday morning. Our Southern Oregon chapter is the only one in Oregon and is the 100th 1M chapter to launch.
Complimenting their tagline “Caffeinating an Entrepreneurial Nation,” the Wednesday morning virtual nationwide gathering is “based on the notion that entrepreneurs discover solutions and engage with their communities over a million cups of coffee.”
Established in 2012 by Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, the movement “seeks to change conditions, address root causes, and break down systemic barriers so that all people — regardless of race, gender, or geography — have the opportunity to achieve economic stability, mobility, and prosperity.”
