The theme of the twenty-fifth Oregon Connections Conference is Onward! The conference will focus on how the impacts of the pandemic on broadband telecommunications and a look forward at public policy, broadband funding, emerging 21st century schools, libraries, health care systems, digital homes and workplaces, smart/precision agriculture, and smart transportation systems all enabled by communication and information technologies. Speaker presentations will address these and other upcoming changes in information technologies. Jonathan Chambers, a principal at Conexon, and Rey Ramsey, CEO of Centri Tech, will deliver the keynote addresses.
As one of the longest running telecommunications conferences in the state, this year’s Oregon Connections is sponsored by a team of over twenty businesses, cities, non-profits, and organizations. Attendees will have a chance to interact with Oregon’s broadband community of interest and “network.” For visitors beyond the Southern Oregon region, lodging is available at Ashland Hills Hotel and Suites, where the conference will be held both days. Breakfast, lunch, a reception and refreshments are included in the ticket prices. During off hours, visitors are invited to explore the uniquely quaint city of Ashland, Oregon—the home of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Southern Oregon University, Lithia Park, Mt Ashland Ski Resort, and many other tourist attractions.
