Board Profile: Adam Hanks

Adam Hanks has lived in Southern Oregon for almost thirty years. His wife, Cindy, was born in Ashland, along with the couple’s twin boys. (All three also graduated from Ashland High School—the boys in 2019, and Cindy a bit earlier than that). Adam has been working for the City of Ashland for twenty-seven years, and connects with the Ashland Chamber of Commerce for many different economic and community projects. He has also served on the Utility Sounding Board for the Bonneville Power Administration, and on the boards of Ashland Pop Warner Football, Ashland Basketball Club, and Ashland American Legion Baseball. Now that his sons have graduated, Adam plans to spend more of his free time traveling, camping, and exploring (with fly-fishing mixed into all of that).

Fun Fact: Adam’s father’s side of the family has lived in Ashland since the 1940’s, and though Adam wasn’t born in Ashland, he is proudly a native Oregonian.

Why Should a Business Owner Move to Southern Oregon? While relocation of a business is always full of risk, Southern Oregon is a landing spot where businesses are wanted, appreciated, and provided with all of the tools they need to be successful, whether that means quick growth, stability, prominence in the community, or settling comfortably in the background.
