SOREDI, in partnership with the OTBC Virtual Incubator Program launches PitchFest, which sees the return of an annual Pitch contest to Southern Oregon this July.
Forming a key part of the LAUNCH program of events and initiatives aimed at building the regional entrepreneurial eco-system, PitchFest has been designed to provide a platform for entrepreneurs, inventors and more established companies looking to grow. The contest which will take place on July 11th (venue TBC) aims to provide a showcase for new business ideas, existing businesses looking to scale and local investors looking to help develop the entrepreneurial ecosystem and wider economy.
Who is it aimed at?
The contest has 2 distinct tracks depending on the stage of your company or start-up idea.
1. Start-Up Track. Aimed at existing or wannabe entrepreneurs armed just with their talent or the next great idea. Come and pitch your concept in under 5 mins for a chance to win $1000 to take your idea to the next level.
2. Growth Track. Aimed at start-ups that have some revenue and initial traction and are looking to scale, or existing businesses with up to $500K in revenue and a clear plan for future expansion / growth that requires capital. Growth track companies will be required to make a 15 minute pitch to a panel of local investors / mentors / experts for a chance to secure an equity investment from local Angel investors.
