2025 DeMuro Award Winner: The Holly Theatre Restoration Project

In October, Restore Oregon held a Restoration Celebration for the nine businesses and one individual receiving the 2025 DeMuro Awards. These awards “recognize excellence in Historic Preservation, the State’s highest honor for the preservation, reuse, and revitalization of architectural and cultural sites. This was the most competitive year with a record-breaking number of project nominations.”

Southern Oregon was in the mix!

Congratulations to the Holly Theatre for this monumental accomplishment! It’s been a journey, whew! But what you have given back to the Southern Oregon Community is a “Palace for Art & Culture”, the first grand movie palace in Southern Oregon. Since closing its doors in 1986, the Holly has been awaiting a time such as this…open doors, filled seats and a vibrant stage.
