Lava Lanes, Title Sponsor, hosted the Foundation’s event for over 100 bowling fans, fun seekers and taco lovers.
Who doesn’t love bowling and tacos!
What does bowling and tacos have to do with the SOREDI Foundation?
Well, in 2018, SOREDI created the SOREDI Foundation for the purpose of providing grants to students and entrepreneurs to support their career pathway in Southern Oregon. Following the 2020 Wildfires, the need became clear that we must also take proactive strides forward to creating a business disaster relief fund.
To date, the SOREDI Foundation has made great progress:
In 2019, the Foundation sponsored a SOREDI Quest competition for high school students and awarded $5,350 in scholarships to assist in their academic pursuits.
In 2020, the Foundation responded to the wildfires by securing and granting $97,200 to local business displaced by the fire to respond quickly and nimbly to immediate business needs.
The Bowl-A-Rama was the Foundation’s big comeback, a post-pandemic relaunch and fundraiser. We are now proactively taking steps in raising funds to continue the work of supporting students, entrepreneurs, and businesses impacted by disaster.
