Dave Dotterrer was born in Eugene, but his wife, Kerry, grew up in Ashland. Twenty years ago, after Dave’s twenty-eight-year Marine Corps career, the couple decided to settle in Kerry’s hometown, and since then, Dave has been proud to call Southern Oregon his home. He serves as Chairman of the board of the Logos Public Charter School, President of the Ashland Gun and Archery Club, and also is a member of the board of the Ashland YMCA. In his free time, Dave enjoys camping, fly fishing, the shooting sports, upland game hunting, and cross country skiing.  Additionally, he loves to read history and western novels.

Fun Fact:

Dave was the commanding officer of Marine Barracks, Washington DC and was responsible for all Marine Corps participation in military ceremonial events in Washington DC, including Marine Corps funerals at Arlington national cemetery. Additionally, his Marines guarded the presidential retreat at Camp David which is the only place on earth that the president can go for a walk in the woods without a Secret Service agent next to him.
