  • Intermediate Housing Assistance (IHA) program – provides rental and/or utility assistance for up to 24 months.
  • Down Payment Assistance (DPA) – provides help with down payments and closing costs for qualified first-time homebuyers who may need additional financial support.
  • Housing Counseling Services – Housing counselors will provide in-depth assistance to individuals and families to create personalized action plans to achieve housing needs and goals.

Disaster Recovery & Resilience (DRR) in the field – Pacific Flats grand opening in Jackson County

DRR staff attended the grand opening for the Pacific Flats development in Jackson County.

This development will bring 72 affordable homes to Phoenix, Ore. Priority for these homes is given to survivors of the 2020 Almeda Fire.

The property is made up of five 3-story buildings and one clubhouse building that houses a community room, fitness center, and business center. The property also has an outdoor area with a playground. Units range in size from two to three bedrooms and have air conditioning, a washer and dryer, and energy-efficient features to reduce utility costs.

The property was developed by Commonwealth Development Corporation, one of the nation’s largest majority woman-owned affordable housing developers. They’ve partnered with NOWIA Unete, a local org that serves immigrant farmworkers and indigenous communities.

OHCS is proud to be a partner on this essential project. We’re excited to see homes being added back into the community as it continues to recover from the 2020 Labor Day Disasters.

Congratulations to the new residents. Learn more about this property here
