A recent email sent by SOREDI member Braun Brush announced their 150th anniversary milestone –
This year marks a remarkable milestone for us at Braun Brush Company: 150 years of brush making excellence.
Since Emanuel Braun founded our company in Brooklyn in 1875, we’ve been guided by the same principles that started it all: craftsmanship, curiosity, and care for our customers. From aerospace tools to bakery brushes, from factory floors to creative studios, our products have reached places our founder could never have imagined.
But none of it would have been possible without you. Your trust, feedback, and partnership have shaped our evolution through five generations and countless innovations. Whether you’ve worked with us for decades or just discovered Braun Brush, you’re part of this story.
As we celebrate this milestone, we’re also looking ahead, continuing to design and build brushes that solve real problems, made by skilled hands here in the U.S.
Thank you for being part of our 150-year journey. Here’s to 150 years of craftsmanship and to the customers, makers, and dreamers who make it all possible.
Randy Peña, Director of Operations, noted:
Braun Brush relocated to the Rogue Valley in July 2018. We leased a facility in Ashland before acquiring property and building our current Medford location, which opened in March 2021. The past five and a half years here at 1525 N. Central Ave have been incredible! Our team once reached 15 employees (pre-COVID) and now operates steadily with around five.
We specialize in the manufacturing of fused specialty brushes under our PolyFuse® brand — used in industries such as aerospace, pharmaceutical manufacturing, food processing, defense, and general industrial applications. You can learn more here: PolyFuse® Metal-Free Brushes.
Our most popular product line is Original Woolies®, a collection of professional automotive detailing brushes loved by detailers worldwide: Original Woolies®.
Randy has been with Braun since March 2011, and states that it is “truly the most amazing company I’ve ever been part of — it feels like family.”
Though they follow a stocking distributor business model, their brushes are available to the public via brush.com. They have approximately 150 stocking distributors around the world who take their Original Woolies to detailers globally. Their PolyFuse pharma, aerospace, defense and food processing products are usually shipped direct to the companies that use them. They specialize in custom brush solutions but carry a large variety of standard sizes which are all available on their website.
