SOREDI Hosts Collaboration of Technology Employers

Medford OR – On Friday, March 10, 2017, SOREDI and the Rogue Workforce Partnership will host an open discussion with Southern Oregon business leaders who employ workers in the technology sector. The meeting will be held at Zeal HQ, 37 N. Central Ave in Medford, from 1:00 – 4:00 pm. Space is limited, so register early at www.soredi.org/events.

Employers of technology workers face a variety of challenges, some of them related to infrastructure, others related to the availability of qualified workers, when they consider their business growth and success. This discussion hopes to identify the top priorities of these businesses in Southern Oregon by asking this one question:

“As a technology employer in the Rogue Valley, what are the top three changes that would most positively impact your business?”

All employers of technology workers in Southern Oregon are invited to participate in this discussion. Space is limited, so only 2 registrations per company will be accepted. Each company will be bringing their own answers to this event, so it is important that a diverse range of companies are present to represent their interests.

SOREDI and the Rogue Workforce Partnership have held other events that impact the technology-based workforce in the region. In October of 2016, they held a Tech Tour in order to make students of OIT, SOU and RCC aware of local career opportunities and SOREDI attends the OIT Career Fair to reach out to students studying technology-related fields.
