Kelley Johnson is excited to be joining the SOREDI Board of Directors this year, which is a perfect time to expand her regional support and community participation, with 4 years of Central Point city council experience under her belt.
She has lived in Southern Oregon since 1969 when her parents decided California was no longer where they wanted to raise their children. She loves living in Southern Oregon, particularly in Central Point, where she grew up taking part in local sports, choir, 4-H, and FFA while attending Scenic Middle School and Crater High School.

Fun Fact: Previously a local paragliding enthusiast, she is most proud of her work with a local recreational flight club called the Rogue Valley Hang Gliding and Paragliding Club (RVHPA). It provided her with the opportunity to work with and experience the creation of a non-profit organization. Not only did this effort save the club financially, but they also saved vital access to the sport by procuring Woodrat Mountain as a recreational site with the BLM.
