The Export Strategies program will help educate businesses regarding exploring and pursuing exporting opportunities. We will cover why it is to your advantage to export; how to connect to expert assistance; how to assess if exporting is right for your business; how to protect yourself and ensure smooth transactions; and how to choose trade partners. This session will prepare you to see how your business can connect with world markets, and is an opportunity not to be missed! The keynote speaker, Dana Shannon, Global Trade Specialist with Business Oregon will present an overview of the reasons for exporting, how to manage an export program, and the financial aspects of exporting and dealing internationally. Dana has over 15 years of experience with the Oregon Business Development Department, assisting numerous Oregon businesses achieve success in international markets. He also instructs students in international business, international marketing and international trade practices as a University Professor.

On Tuesday, June 18th, 8 am – 1 pm (with different sessions throughout the day) the SOU SBDC will host a half-day From Rogue to Global seminar developed for small and mid-size businesses that have goods and services they sell (or are ready to sell) outside of Oregon or the country.
