Ground has Broken! Element by Westin

Just North of Pear Blossom Park, the project has begun for downtown Medford’s first hotel in nearly 60 years, according to KOBI5, Element by Westin. The plan is to be complete by spring/summer 2027.

Approved by the Medford Urban Renewal Agency (MURA), the 134-room hotel will feature a pool and spa, outdoor patio, dining and lounge areas, a fitness center, and a large meeting room. This new project is designed to be a strong part of downtown revitalization.

Downtown Medford Association (DMA) was on hand to join in the celebration as Mayor Michael Zarosinski, MURA Board President Kevin Stine, and MURA Director Harry Weiss provided the vision and plan for the new venture.

As reported in an August 2024 SOREDI newsletter post, Elements by Westin is a short & long stay hotel. Elements have a modern Scandanavian style with a focus on supporting guest routines, guest wellness, spacious living areas, and pets are welcome. There will also be meeting rooms available accommodating approximately 60 people.
