IVCanDo Receives Anonymous $500,00 Grant

The Illinois Valley Community Development Organization (IVCanDo) of Cave Junction is now in a new permanent home, thanks to the generous $500,000 donation from an anonymous donor. The new location is on Hamilton Avenue in south Cave Junction, formerly Dave’s Outdoor Power Equipment.

Grants Pass Daily Courier recently interviewed staff. “We’ve never owned a building before,” said Lindsey Jones, executive director of the organization, better known as IVCanDo. “We’ve been around for 30 years in this community, and we’re not going anywhere. This building really solidifies that legacy and that permanence in our commitment to the community.”

They are excited about the 3,880-square foot space and are actively remodeling to suit their mission and activities, including a revenue-generating space.

Earlier this week IVCanDo staff and SOREDI staff connected via Teams to hear about the Illinois Valley projects and to see how SOREDI can support their efforts. Did you know that this small but mighty organization oversees these program areas, including PIER microenterprise funding?

Stay tuned for even more projects and events coming from IVCanDo…
