Leadership Project Application 2024-2025

Leadership Medford is a signature program of The Chamber of Medford & Jackson County and is in its 41st year. Each year a class of 25-40 local business leaders enroll in the 9-month program which runs from September through May. The class meets once a month. One of the requirements of the program is for the class to work on a class project that benefits the local community.

Work by the group usually involves some fundraising by the group, plus planning, coordinating, hiring out, or executing the work themselves. Past projects have included:

  • Refurbishing living quarters at Addiction Recovery Center and installation of a community garden.
  • Designing and building an outdoor area for Hearts With a Mission.
  • Design and installation of a nature-scape playground at Hawthorne Park.
  • Refurbishment of the SOHumane buildings and kennels.
  • A one-day makeover for the Children’s Advocacy Center, where the class cleaned, power washed, painted, and built new outdoor furniture
