The good news keeps coming for Medford’s (and soon to be Grants Pass’s!) Children’s Museum. They are “raising the roof” on their Medford location. Well, not technically raising the roof, but adding the roof space to their usable square footage, 12,000 feet worth.
Sunny Spicer, Executive Director, states that the expansion will honor the architectural style of the current historic building providing a safe and secure place for families including a play area, a seating area and even a kitchenette. It will also be available as rentable space for events.
With an $8 million goal, the museum has already raised $6 million with money from grants, private donations and State money. They are hoping to get a bid this summer with an 18-month completion deadline.
Spicer recognized the City of Medford and Medford City Council for being key partners in this process.
