Member News: Pacific Power Makes a Presidential Impact on Southern Oregon

One of SOREDI’s top priorities in economic development is helping local businesses prosper. There are many ways we like to do this and one of them is to provide information and access to resources for big topics affecting day-to-day operations.

At SOREDI’s recent Board of Directors meeting, Pacific Power’s new president, Ryan Flynn, provided an update to the directors regarding Pacific Power’s ongoing efforts to mitigate power-related fires and the future of a solid power grid in Southern Oregon. With the advancement of technology, new steps are being taken to minimize potential ignition points. The future of the power grid here is strong, with strategies in place to help minimize rate increases and to provide additional power for our growing community.

Following the board meeting, Pacific Power hosted several local business leaders at Dancin Vineyards to have continued conversations regarding local power supply for today and for the future. It was a great evening of productive connections for both Pacific Power and local business.
