Member News: RCC Expanding!

The RV Times reported that RCC Table Rock Campus is expanding by 50% after purchasing the neighboring property formerly owned by Danfoss Power Solutions. Though immediate plans for the additional 10 acres are yet to be determined, Dr. Weber, President of RCC, is excited for the opportunity to have neighboring property come available in order to expand their career technical education programs.

The sale of their Medford property on E 8th St to Rogue Valley Transportation District and the passing of the $20 million RCC bond in 2016 made this purchase possible.

The Table Rock Campus is home to welding, manufacturing and the new state-of-the-art Health Professions Center and is where most of the college’s growth has occurred, according to Weber. The purchase includes outbuildings and equipment, which is yet to be determined whether they will be of use to RCC.  A SOREDI Board of Directors meeting was held at the Health Professions Center back in February 2023 where we were given a tour of this high-tech training facility that is preparing students for today’s health landscape and demands.
