November 11 Women in Manufacturing Industry Tour – Work Sharp

November 11 from 3:00pm – 5:30pm SOREDI member Work Sharp will be hosting a Women in Manufacturing tour. Attendees will receive an overview of Work Sharp, their quality sourced materials and assembly process, consumer sharpeners and knives, as well as their commitment to culture and people. Work Sharp has been voted a Top Workplace for 12 years in a row.

Since 1973, family-owned Work Sharp, based in beautiful Ashland, Oregon, has been designing and engineering a full range of consumer sharpeners including the Work Sharp & Drill Doctor brands, and RMX knives which are designed and marketed with the intention of surprising and delighting customers. As a small company with a global footprint, they are in the process of expanding our local manufacturing footprint with a new facility in White City, Oregon. Work Sharp’s remarkable success and stability can, in part, be attributed to its culture and more particularly its coworkers. More than 25% of our coworkers have worked with us for 10 to 25 years.

Core values are the central drivers of their business:
• Love & Respect
• Honesty & Integrity
• Own Your Experience
• Continuous Improvement
• Simplify
• Enjoy What We Do
Work Sharp offers competitive pay and all the great benefits you would expect, and some surprising benefits like a vacation bonus and sabbaticals.
