Press Release: Terrill Roper Promoted to Business Development Loan Manager

Southern Oregon Regional Economic Development, Inc. (SOREDI) is pleased to announce that Terrill Roper has been promoted to Business Development Loan Manager, effective May 1.

SOREDI has operated a gap financing loan program, in partnership with many local banks, credit unions, and other financial partners since 1994. To date, the agency has lent more than $22 million throughout the region, with fixed rate and fixed term loans, to companies creating and retaining jobs. Terrill previously joined the SOREDI staff in April 2021 as Disaster Liaison and Business Development Manager, following the devastating Labor Day fires of 2020. During his tenure to date, Terrill has been actively engaged in community development, along with business expansion and relocation activities, and has greatly expanded his overall knowledge of local and traded-sector industries home to Southern Oregon.

Terrill has 22 years of banking experience with various banks and credit unions, including Banner Bank and Umpqua Bank, serving in many roles from relationship manager to branch manager focusing on business needs and development.  “Terrill is a strong, reliable, and authentic team player and fan for all Southern Oregon businesses.  This natural transition to a previously open position suits his overall skill set and is a win for SOREDI and the region,” states Colleen Padilla, Executive Director.

Currently, Terrill serves on the Medford Airport Advisory Committee, and the Grants Pass Chamber of Commerce Business Retention and Expansion (BRE) Committee. In addition, he is an active member of the Central Point Rotary, and a board member for Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Southern Oregon.
