What is the Southern Oregon Builds Pre-Apprenticeship program? Receiving funding from the Oregon Prosperity 10K ARPA grants,
“We are a non-profit that specializes in Pre-Trades training and certification for youth, men and women that are wanting to learn about the process of how to join the Construction and Building Trades industry and are unaware of how to do so.
Our partner organizations include Project Youth Plus (Formally College Dreams), WorkSource Rogue Valley & Oregon Department of Human Services, Crater Lake Electrical JATC Local 659, Plumbers & Steamfitters UA290 JATC, Southern Oregon Building and Construction Trades Council and reaching out to local High Schools in both Jackson and Josephine counties. It Is our mission to provide training services that are designed to prepare Job seekers transition to registered apprenticeships or direct employment in skilled trades. The program addresses urgent, in demand, high wage employment needs of both regional construction industry partners and southern Oregon job seekers.”
