SOREDI Announces Incoming Board President and Vice-Chair

Aaron Ausland and Steve Vincent rise to leadership of SOREDI Board

 Medford, Oregon – SOREDI is proud to announce that Aaron Ausland, CEO of Ausland Group, will serve as President of the Board for the next two years, with Steve Vincent, of Avista Utilities as Vice-Chair.  The SOREDI Board has the responsibility of leading the development and cultivation of partnerships among private, community and public entities to help businesses prosper to
advance economic opportunities compatible with community values.

Aaron AuslandAaron Ausland –  As Chief Executive Officer at the Ausland Group, Aaron Ausland provides the strategic vision and oversight. He is the only Certified Program Manager in Southern Oregon
and plays an important role in the organization and programming of Ausland’s capital improvement and campaign endeavors. An OSU Alumnus, Ausland serves as University Liaison for the Oregon Chapter of Construction Management Association of America, a board member of the Josephine County Education Foundation, and is a member of the Southern Oregon Angel Investors Network.

Steve Vincent – As the Oregon Regional Business Manager for Avista Utilities, Steve Vincent is responsible for public relations, corporate philanthropy, Steve Vincentcommunity interface, and local government relations. His geographic responsibility spans eight counties across eastern and southern Oregon. As a state and local community partner, Vincent, serves on boards which include the Portland-based Earth Advantage Institute, Southern Oregon University President’s Advisory Board, the Oregon Institute of Technology’s President’s Advisory Council, and the Medford Chamber. He is also the Founder of the Southern Oregon Angel Investment Network. Vincent’s investment in our region includes his heritage as a fifth-generation native of Jackson County, descended from homesteaders in Sams Valley in the 1860s.

SOREDI is a private, membership-based, non-profit organization, governed by a board of directors. Its staff is charged with local business expansion and new business recruitment efforts, financial assistance to start-up companies through its business loan fund, and management of Enterprise Zones in Jackson and Josephine Counties.
