SOREDI Hires Business Disaster Recovery and Resiliency Liaison

Southern Oregon Regional Economic Development, Inc. (SOREDI) is pleased to announce that Terrill Roper has joined the Business Development team at SOREDI, as Disaster Recovery and Resiliency Liaison, effective April 1, 2021.

Roper, a long time Oregon resident, brings broad business outreach experience and management principles to SOREDI having served in various business banking and financial positions over the last twenty years including multiple branch manager roles. Terrill’s most recent banking experience for the past 5 years was with Banner Bank including positions as Senior Banker, Mortgage Lender, and Branch Manager in Central Point. He is an effective communicator among diverse groups and is highly regarded among his peers for work ethic, drive, and professionalism.

Executive Director, Colleen Padilla, states: “Terrill is a welcome and incredibly timely addition to the SOREDI staff bringing a deep seeded passion for business that is essential as our communities rebuild following the disastrous wildfires. His arrival has been long awaited. He embodies numerous core values such as integrity, leadership, and enthusiasm that is consistent among our team.”

In this newly created position, funded in part with a technical assistance grant from the Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration, Terrill will be focused on meeting with impacted businesses within the cities of Phoenix and Talent, and within unincorporated Jackson County.  His job duties will include assessing business needs, finding appropriate resources as companies seek to rebuild and recover, communicating ongoing efforts and gaps in resources to respective partners and jurisdictions, and assisting business owners in navigating various permitting and rebuilding processes, as necessary.

Terrill is an active golfer, soccer coach, and sports enthusiast. He volunteers with Junior Achievement, is a member of the Central Point Rotary and is an incoming Rogue Community Health board member. A native of Klamath Falls, Terrill and his wife Tyanne live in Central Point with their two sons.
