Southern Oregon 2018 Labor Force & Job Growth Review

The State of Oregon Employment Department recognizes the region of  Jackson and Josephine Counties as the Rogue Valley. Their most recent Rogue Valley 2018 Labor Force and Job Growth Review is now available online.

Key takeaways from the report include:

• Both counties continue to trend towards lower unemployment from a high in 2009.

• Civilian labor force in both counties continues to grow, albeit more slowly, consistent with slower growth in general population increase.

• Both counties continue to outpace statewide numbers in job growth rates, with Josephine County outpacing Jackson County.
