Blair Sundell

Executive Director

Blair Sundell is a Rogue Valley native with deep roots in both Jackson and Josephine counties. As Executive Director of SOREDI, he brings over 17 years of experience in economic development, business finance, and entrepreneurship. Prior to joining SOREDI, Blair managed a statewide team and over $100 million in capital access programs at Business Oregon. He previously served on the Board of Directors of the Council of Development Finance Agencies (CDFA), the leading national association for development finance.

He has traveled the country as a guest speaker sharing best practices with other states on effective capital deployment strategies at events including the Federal Policy Conference in Washington D.C., the West Regional U.S. Treasury SSBCI Conference in San Francisco, the Annual CDFA Summit in Baltimore, and the FDIC/Federal Reserve Banker Roundtable in Portland.

With a strong background in both the public and private sectors, his career has been marked by proven leadership, regional insight, collaborative problem solving, and vision for the future. He has a history of working with diverse stakeholders to develop and implement innovative programs that support business development.

At SOREDI, Blair is responsible for overseeing SOREDI’s programs and initiatives, including business expansion, retention, and attraction efforts, as well as fostering relationships with both private and public partners. He also leads the implementation of SOREDI’s Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (One Rogue Valley CEDS), focusing on regional competitiveness and sustainable economic resilience.
