I’m writing to thank SOREDI for your much-needed and greatly appreciated grant of $2,500. In the Applegate, we like to say we are centrally isolated, nestled between Grants Pass and Jacksonville. And, while a few of our local businesses are members of one of those two chambers of commerce, our business conditions and style of life is vastly different from either city.

We formed the Applegate Valley Business Network to meet the needs of the farmers, ranchers, food and beverage producers, craftspeople, and small retail establishments that are the economic engine for our area. We are beyond excited to be recognized by SOREDI for our contribution to the regional economy and quality of life.

Your funding is enabling us to strengthen our local food system and launch a local business visioning process.
