Industry Tour Series 22-23 : That’s a Wrap!

SOREDI just wrapped up the last of its Industry Tours for the season.  As we take a look back at our last year we would like to first thank our sponsors for without them none of this would have been possible.

Southern Oregon Education Service District (SOESD) and Rogue Workforce Partnership (RWP) generously stepped up last fall as we looked at bringing back the first Industry Tours since January of 2020.  Another partner raised their hand to help, Southern Oregon University, by welcoming us aboard their “Raider Bus” to transport us around the Region. A big SHOUT OUT to all three, for their long-standing  partnership.

This tour’s focus was Rogue Valley International – Medford Airport (MFR) and the various business entities it serves.

Sheila Clough from Mercy Flights, Brad Cozza from MFR, and Shane Hickman from Million Air each gave informative presentations to the educators and professionals that signed up for the event. The tour also included Erickson Aircrane, the Terminal as well as the airport Fire Department.

The educators who attended are interested in preparing Southern Oregon’s future workforce for local industries. The SOREDI member professionals who attended are interested in connecting with the local industries and learning their impact locally.

We had 4 tours this season, visiting local businesses from Ashland to Grants Pass (Photo Gallery Links below).  We had 122 total guests including 51 professionals, 65 educators and 2 SOREDI  staff tour guides.

Thank you to all the amazing companies who opened their doors to facilitated tours, answered questions, and posed for our favorite group photos.  

Next season we are adding a 5th tour to the lineup.  We’ll continue to bring you new exciting stops full of great networking and non-stop fun! We look forward to seeing you in the Fall so stay tuned and be ready to sign up because these tickets go fast.
