As reported in an earlier newsletter dated July 23, 2025, the Children’s Museum of Southern Oregon, a non-profit preschool and children’s museum, submitted expansion plans to the City of Medford, which were approved.
Since then, as reported by MedfordAlert, the Medford City Council approved a 19,050 sq ft expansion of the museum —adding a rooftop event space and new preschool classrooms. The museum is celebrating “20 Years of Play”.
According to the City of Medford’s website, on November 19, 2025, the Medford Urban Renewal Agency (MURA) approved a $1.5M urban renewal grant to help pay for construction—pending review by the Landmarks and Historic Preservation Commission.
The new and expanded preschool and Children’s Museum at the Grants Pass location, 104 SW 4th Street, is well on its way. Dutch Bros donated their former headquarters to be used as their new site. The museum is slated to open in late 2026, with the preschool opening the Fall of 2025.
