Community News: Phoenix Blackbird Taking Flight

With a grand opening scheduled for May, the new Phoenix Blackbird is breaking ground. Located at the South end of downtown Phoenix, it will be a 22,000 s/f retail building focusing on Ace Hardware products along with clothing, sporting goods and other items familiar with the Blackbird store.

An innovative and exciting addition to this new space will be a section dedicated as a tap room offering beer, cider and wine. They are also providing space for food trucks! A do-it-yourself dog wash will also be included in the space.

SOREDI member, JB Steel, is building the metal structure to support the entire facility. They were also involved in the build of the first Blackbird on Main Street in Medford.

SOREDI has been actively involved in supporting rebuilds in the burn scar areas of Phoenix and Talent so to see a landmark such as Blackbird expand there shows the work the City of Phoenix has done to make their town a place where business wants to be. Congratulations to Blackbird and to the City of Phoenix!
