Pending Gov. Kotek’s signature, OSF can make plans to utilize funds granted by the Oregon State Legislature, per article in Ashland News by Holly Dillemuth. Interim Executive Director, Tyler Hokama, claims this as a big win for moving forward with current funding needs as well as looking toward 2025, the organization’s 90th anniversary.
On February 8th, Hokama testified in a House Committee hearing in Salem regarding OSF’s importance in the Southern Oregon economy. He was joined by an SOU representative as well as Ashland Mayor Tonya Graham.
SOREDI was proud to write a letter of support for OSF to receive these funds and sees this organization as a vital part of the health of our Southern Oregon community. It clearly is an integral part of the two One Rogue Valley Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) Initiatives for Tourism and Placemaking.
