Most Southern Oregonians and visitors alike, agree that our region is simply spectacular.
SOREDI has published numerous community gem stories to date—short articles that highlight events, history, and a few businesses in each of the fifteen jurisdictions SOREDI serves. If you’ve missed out on reading some of these, take a look here.
If you want to dig deeper and learn about a specific business in the region, please consider visiting our Southern Oregon Edge Profiles here.
Southern Oregon is also filled with resilient people, remarkable places and extraordinary initiatives. Debuting in June, a new series of stories – Great Places, Faces, and Spaces aims to capture but a few. For instance, we may highlight a hiking spot in an unincorporated part of Southern Oregon—Great Spaces. A new program or business initiative may fall under Great Places. Or we may focus on an extraordinary community leader—Great Faces.
Each of these bi-monthly stories will connect to our One Rogue Valley Strategy. Watch for the strategy/tactic number to be included in each story.
We hope that you will enjoy reading this series as much as the community gem stories! If you know of an intriguing place, face, or space, please share it with us and reach out to Abigail Skelton, Project Manager, at abigail@soredi.org.
